edit: Fixed some stuff... I actually edited this picture a while ago for my portfolio review but I did some weird shit in Photoshop (the orig had many many layers so I just copy merged them into a new document and painted on top) and it TOTALLY messed up in printing so I had to print the original version for my review!! Needless to say I felt really shitty about it. Whateverrr I don't know anymore

My Painting & Composition final, a simple picture of Persephone from one of my favorite Greek myths.

For those who are unfamiliar with the story... well... look it up on Wikipedia!
To answer some questions (belatedly sorry haha), yes, in a nutshell, it is the story where Hades falls in love with Persephone, the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, and steals her to the underworld. Demeter, who is the goddess of the Earth is devastated by her disappearance causes life on earth to cease. Zeus who realizes that everyone is suffering because of Hades's desire for Persephone forces Hades to return Persephone to the Earth, but not before Hades tricks Persephone into eating six pomegranate seeds. The six seeds represent the months of the year that she must live in the underworld with Hades, also representing the seasons where the earth "dies".

I'm so tired and asldkjasd Just tried to finish this so I hope that people like it DX

note: Colors got messed up because I converted to RGB... NOO why does everything look nicer in Photoshop?! DX
